A double and a triple at the 2012 YPU Exhibition

12th May 2012
The 2012 annual exhibition of the Yorkshire Photographic Union opened today in Wath on Dearne, always a tense morning not knowing if you have work selected for either the print exhibition or the digital images plus who walked away with the silverware.

A huge entry again this year, 1395 prints were entered and 1417 digital images from camera clubs and societies from all corners of Yorkshire. So having something selected was always going to be an achievement.

Well the title spells it out a little for me, the double was for two of my images receiving awards, one in the print section the other part of my triple in the digital images, I also had one other print selected and another digital that received a commended award.

When I talk about the triple, this is because I have won the same award in the digital three years running and I have now picked up award wining images three years running with my print entries.

The exhibition is open for public viewing at the Wath on Dearne library from Monday 14th May till Saturday 22nd June, well worth a view of around 200 prints

Below are my prints and digital images from this year’s exhibition.

The Mabel Bruce Trophy - Best architectural image award

Selected print for the exhibition

Digital images - The Crowrger Cox Sliver Vase - Best architectural image

Commended certificate image - Central London
