After Les purchased his first camera it wasn't long before his work was featured in various publications including Landscape Photographer of the Year and as Black and White Magazine’s Photographer of the Year.
Other successes include various awards in UK and International photography exhibitions together with solo exhibitions, one of those being at the fashionable Victoria Quarter in Leeds. Recently Les's images were selected for the prestigious London Salon of Photography gaining two salon medals, images have also been accepted into the Association of Photographers Exhibition and at the 152nd Edinburgh International Photographic Exhibition Les was awarded the blue badge for best author.

Les produces images that portray a personal vision, covering numerous subjects such as landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, fashion, equine, architecture, sport and much more both in colour and monochrome which are often featured in his talks/presentations to camera clubs/societies. From early 2016 Les has concentrated his photography more on the architecture, cityscapes and seascape long exposure elements traveling to destinations such as Valencia, Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin and Singapore.

Personal achievements for his photography are a first class BA Hons Degree in Photography, an Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS), Excellence of the Federation International Del Art Photographique (EFIAP) a Distinction of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (DPAGB)

Away from photography Les along with his wife have a passion for travel specially the Far East experiencing the all the senses and cultures South East Asia has to offer. The love of food is usually high on list sampling the local fare is a must. Other pleasures in life are simple, a good bottle of wine along with a meal and long walks in the stunning local Yorkshire countryside, sometimes a local hostelry comes into play.
