Six of the Best - Wath Salon 2010

03rd December 2010
The annual Wath Salon run by Dearne Valley Camera Club has again attracted record entries from all corners of Yorkshire and beyond. This South Yorkshire event goes from strength to strength, unfortunately the opening night 2nd December needed to be rearranged to the 9th December due to the adverse weather condition in the Yorkshire region at the moment.

Soon as I have more detail of the number of entries I will amend this news story accordingly.

The title may give away that I had six images accepted into this years exhibition, which I am extremely pleased with, four prints and two in the digital section

The selected prints and digital images were the following;

Photo comment By Mick Ilsley: I'm relatively new to photography thanks for giving a standard to aim for. I love the colour and depth that you have produced
Photo comment By Harry Purves: Les, I've just started my web site with Photium and you site was given as a reference. This led me to read your blog and ultimately see your submission in DSLR photography magazine which I have subscribed to for 2 years. To the point, Viewing your images: I really like your B&W images especially the Railway shed - what a corker! And the impact of your colour work is great too. Drop by my site sometime: All the best, Harry
Photo comment By Charles A. Humprey: I am in aw of the feeling a simple picture can produce...very nice images.
Photo comment By Glenn A. McCurdy: Worked in Paris back in the 1960s and ran into the images of Bresson. Great influence ever since. Looking to build a website at this point...yours is terrific.
